Blind Veterans UK
Another project Mid Wales Guttering Ltd were delighted to be involved with was the Blind Veterans UK (formerly St Dunstan's) building in Llandudno, North wales. The successful main contractor of the £6m refurbishment of the former North Wales Medical Centre in Llandudno was Wynne Construction Ltd an established company from North Wales.
The new facility provides essential services for blind ex-Service personnel enabling them to access bespoke services and support, equipping them with the skills to lead full and independent lives. The new Centre provides rehabilitation and training, teaching independent living skills, such as getting around safely, navigating a kitchen and IT skills. It also includes specially adapted leisure, dining and accommodation facilities catering for everything from residential training weeks, to nursing and respite care.
Our contract was to provide all the aluminium gutters and downpipes to the whole building which was quite a large project for us at the time in 2011. We adhered to our the time scale given and kepp to the costs as quote. Ourselves and Wynne construction were delighted with the results.
